Trilingual English, French, Italian. Earned A.A.S. and B.S. in the U.S. Earned Bac, D.E.U.G. and License in Paris, France. Worked as a field manager for the Nuclear Weapons Freeze for over a year.

Married a civil rights attorney, Michael Sorgen. While raising an eco-aware family, became increasingly concerned about the state of the world and increasingly involved in activism and Berkeley politics. Frequent speaker at City Council meetings. As a Commissioner, researched, wrote, and successfully lobbied for Resolutions adopted by the City Council.
