Board of Directors; Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District; Division 3

I've been transparent for my ethics, integrity, accountability, and no hidden agendas when I held my previous elected official seat and I would carry that on when elected to water district.

Continuous data information and reports would update the water board members at meetings and keep us on track to the accountability level for taking actions to ensure water supply. I expect environmental policies to be justifiable for all consideration.

Environmental issues that are controversial: I will seek advice from USGVMWD personnel who are in key positions and organizations for their opinions. By having facts and documentation in front of me, this would eliminate if any misunderstanding of the issues on hand.

Severe water drought + we need to expand participation in the recycling water to commercial industry, golf courses, educational institutes, and recreational parks/areas. Connect more to our customers regarding wisely water usage with programs that are in place and bring in more to our water district.

City of Industry Project + this project will supply recycled water for landscape and turf irrigation to facilities that will expand services to customers in the southern and eastern areas of San Gabriel Valley. Including construction of new pipeline, storage and distribution facilities. This will conserve drinking water by supplying more than recycled water for irrigation for both existing and future customers by the year 2015. Colorado River, connecting rivers/creeks and species + With a Warming Climate: the volume of water in the basin is decreasing. The years 2000 to 2004 were the only five consecutive years in recorded history with water flow below average. There are fourteen native species of fish. Four are endemic and endangered: Colorado pikeminnow (formerly Colorado squawfish), razorback sucker, bonytail chub, and humpback chub. City of Industry Project will protect sensitive aquatic habitats of the Sacramento Delta and Colorado River by reducing demand on imported water supplies. Colorado River Delta: The loss of freshwater flows to the delta over the twentieth century has reduced delta wetlands to about 5 percent of their original extent, and nonnative species have compromised the ecological health of much of what remains.

As a newly elected water board member I would bring "accountability, ethics, integrity, good intentions and decisions for the betterment of my communities (constituents) and State that I will represent.
