Open and accountable govermentBy David BurnettCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Marina | |

Everyone is impacted in someway by the decisions and policies set out by our city officialsI proposed that we must first return to a sense of fairness and balance in all dealings with the public. The tone with which elected officials engage the public goes a long way to create an atmosphere of openness and transparency. We must respect the ideas and opinions of the people that live and work here in our city. Everyone is impacted in someway by the decisions and policies set out by our city officials. We cannot afford to fail to appreciate the significance of our actions. I believe I am the one to make these and other changes because I believe in Marina. We have had caring and thoughtful city workers and elected officials in the past, we just need leadership and a commitment to do what's best for Marina. It's going to be a struggle and require someone who looks to the future. |
