After teaching high school science for 10 years I switched gears, finishing up a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1984 and currently serving as Lead Optometrist at the Tustin/Santa Ana offices of Kaiser Permanente.


Coached wrestling as a "walk-on" at Mater Dei High School for eight years, receiveing Serra League "Coach of the Year" honors three times, then switched to Santa Ana's new Segerstrom Fundamental High School in 2008.


Formerly a Major in the United States Air Force Reserve; retired from service in 2006.
