ISSUES Protect Our Local Economy

"A strong economic provides jobs and funding for city resources."

Our local economy generates funding for critical city services including police, fire and other city services.

Good planning will accommodate continuing growth of both business and housing opportunities, while ensuring our city retains economic balance.

Make our Neighborhoods Safer

"I plan to make Anaheim the safest city in Orange County."

One of our top priorities must remain the health and safety of the people who live, work, or visit Anaheim. This requires our police and fire departments to remain strong.

I will lead the fight against gangs, graffiti and other crimes that negatively impact our quality of life. I plan to lead the charge to hire 20 more police officers in my first term.

Improve our Communities

"Enhancing our communities will improve our quality of life."

Quality schools and recreation facilities need to be a high priority for everyone from children to seniors. Our City Council needs to find more creative and better ways to enhance both.

Infrastructure like streets, sidewalks, and curbs range from 30 to 80+ years old in many residential neighborhoods. We must set the standard for repairs or replacements higher.

Graffiti and abandoned shopping carts are two of the biggest visual blights in our neighborhoods. I will look for and support solutions to reduce both.

Traffic congestion and over-crowded parking on neighborhood streets can and should be addressed by the city working together with neighborhoods to find solutions.

I support strong citizen participation in Neighborhood Councils making them vital places where citizens become engaged in solving their neighborhood problems with support from the City.

I will push for smart planning and the use of new technologies to better manage traffic in our communities to improve our quality of life.

Hold Government Accountable

I commit that my words and actions will always have the goal of raising Anaheim's city pride.

I am accountable only to the citizen's of Anaheim. I do not have aspirations for a higher office. I wish to serve the people of Anaheim and not the special interests.
