My position on why I should be a member of the board of Hope School.A quality education is the reason so many people want to attend our schools and live in our district. My wife Kathy is a local, credentialed teacher so I know first-hand the importance of quality educators in the formula for successful learning. We must take steps now to ensure that we can continue to deliver a quality education in the future as well. I am committed to exercising fiscally sound principles in our district. As a local financial advisor, I have worked 16 years with restrictive budgets in order to creatively reach critical goals. As we move forward in our Basic Aid status, we need to maximize the benefit of this new budget for all of our students. The way in which we allocate our resources will be pivotal for the future success of our schools. Finally, I believe that open communication and collaboration is crucial to bringing a great education to the entire district. As a board member, I will work together with parents, educators, students and other community members to make sure that my decisions consider all these viewpoints. As a parent of one Hope District student and another who begins next year, I have a vested interest in the future of our district. I hope you will vote for me November 4th.
