Leo A. W. Wiegman, Democratic candidate for Mayor of Croton-on-Hudson
Democrat, Leo Wiegman, 50, founded E to the fourth in 2008, a firm that helps environmental organization communicate better. Previously, Leo worked in book publishing for many years, most recently as an editor at W. W. Norton & Company publishing non-fiction books in basic sciences, photography, the environment and current affairs for general readers and for college courses. Leo served as an elected Trustee in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson for 3 terms from 2001 to 2007, where he lead the village to be the first municipality to buy wind power in New York State. Leo was co-founder of the Croton Sustainable Energy Cooperative, a local information sharing service on energy efficiency and alternatives. Leo serves on the County's Steering Committee for the Indian Brook-Croton Gorge Watershed Conservation Action Plan to unify land use and conservation efforts and is a Trustee of Teatown Lake Reservation in Ossining. Leo is a summa cum laude graduate of Tufts University (1980). Leo volunteers for Croton's AYSO youth soccer, promotes public awareness of energy and environment related issues, and was a member of the Harmon Economic Development Committee.
