Candidate Campaign Statement

As a resident of this wonderful City of 20 years, I am proud to call it my home. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and we raised both our grown sons here. Throughout this time, I have learned to care deeply for the City, its needs and the residents to which we call our neighbors.

My personal motto is "get involved and make a positive difference" I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the residents for allowing me to serve as their community advocate over the past years. I have come to realize that getting involved makes a difference and this is why I'm running for City Council.

Safety is my number one priority. This effort has made me realize the importance of my election to continue to work toward eliminating violence in our community. Our council must continue to provide the resources our police and fire departments need to provide outstanding service to the community. I will work towards securing new facilities for police officers and firefighters. I will make the elimination of violence in our community my passion. Our youth are dropping out of school in an alarming rights. I will strive to work with our parents and schools to support our students.

As a bridge builder, I will work with the Council in order to manage the City's financial and human resources. I will fight to stop increased fees or taxes and maintain the quality of life that we deserve.

Preserving our small town atmosphere while keeping our city safe and financially strong is my goal. I will do everything possible to keep out taxes down by encouraging business to come to Bell Gardens. I support "Shop Bell Gardens"

As your council member I will work to operate a balanced budget and sustain our community through difficult economic times.
