For 40 years, the Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection Board has not given its citizens a real "choice" . This position is not a Firemans Position---it is a Managerial Position, which is my very strong background. I bring a Fresh, Female, Conservative voice to this office with 30 years of Executive Experience in Construction, Business Negotiations, Managerial, Marketing, Human Resources and Real Estate Investment and Development. There is a need to place more Professional Women on many of the governing Boards in this county to bring a balance of ideas and decisions. The priorities in this office seem to be the Joint Powers Agreement with the Ross Valley Fire Department. The decision on whether to buy into the agreement which may result in uncontrollable fees downroad or build our own facilities to accomodate our 1600 residents of Sleepy Hollow and control and manage our own costs. These talks have gone on for almost 2 years. We, the people, need to see a closure to this process and move on, whereby, I plan to bring a resolution, and only for the benefit for our Sleepy Hollow residents. |
