1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)
This is my 5th year of service and 2nd as President. I am a certified Master Board Member and 3 time OSBA Award of Achievement recipient. I also serve on the OSBA Southwest Region Executive Committee. I am a former U.S. Naval Officer holding many leadership positions throughout my career.2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
I have invested significant time studying education issues and plan to continue going forward. Life-long learning is critical to making the best decisions to serve the Northwest community in today's ever-changing world. We have an Excellent school district! In 2008, the Board received a Silver-level Effective School Board award. In 2009, we expect that to be a Gold-level award. The Board must continue to apply the principles that have worked and continue to modify any that need adjusting.
The Board has been recognized by the Cincinnati Enquirer for our responsiveness. I will continue to be available to our community.
