First, my most profuse thanks to you and Eric and Sarah regarding yesterday's interview. You were all very personable and pleasant, which put me at ease. What I'm trying to say is that I felt that I would be treated fairly by you. One must tread lightly on the fourth estate-I'm using levity, of course (bad pun too). Again, thanks.

Speaking of estates, and so forth, let me segue into my news tip. While you were interviewing me yesterday, our Hamilton County Commissioners met to discuss land use issues-as they are wont to do. The most time-consuming matters up for review at the meeting involved zoning and land use within Green Township. Specifically, the matters involved a re-zoning issue on North Bend (the Forest View Garden property) and a commercial land use issue for a quarter mile strip (perpendicularly-positioned) off Harrison.

These contested issues also involved a lot of acrimony and hand wringing for the parties; in particular, the homeowner(s) were seen to be distressed. What really stuck me as noteworthy was the fact that the land use dispute for the Harrison property has been an ongoing and protracted battle. Rulings on the disposition of this property have been made by the RZC, the Green Township Land Use Committee, and by the Green Township Trustees. Furthermore, the Commissioners voted yesterday for a continuance on the matter. They also directed that one of the Green Trustees make an appearance before the Board in order to clarify the Township's position. It will be a topic for discussion next week when the Commissioners meet.

The news item: The vote by the Green Township Trustees on the disposition of the Harrison property contravened the ruling and recommendation made by the Green Township Land Use Committee.
