Currently serving his fifth two year term as a Village Trustee, Ed has most recently served as the Village Board Liaison to the Elmsford Fire Department, and oversees the Recreation program for the village. Ed has been at the forefront of the efforts to improve our recreation program, including the creation of several new facilities such as the White Plains Ave. Spray Park. Ed has used his extensive financial background to help limit the effect of rising taxes while keeping our level of services high. Ed is a lifelong resident of the village. He and his wife of 25 years, Lauren, have chosen to raise their four children in Elmsford. His education started at Mount Carmel Grammar School and concluded with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University. Ed, who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Notary Public, worked for many years in the accounting field. He switched careers and is currently the Chief of the Hartsdale Fire Department. Ed's volunteer service to the Village extends over 33 years. He has served as a volunteer in the Elmsford Fire Department and Rescue Squad since 1976 holding many positions, including Chief of Department. He has been an Emergency Medical Technician for 25 years. He is especially proud of his volunteer service to the young people of our community and has served as a youth sports coach for the Elmsford Little League, Hartsdale Dad's Club, Greenburgh Community Center, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and Elmsford Recreation. |
