Phillip Q. Shrotman was a Professor in the Business Division at Long Beach City College for over 29 years. Professor Shrotman served as Coordinator for Financial Planning and Insurance for the college. He holds a Community College Instructors Credential from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Masters Degree from the University of San Francisco (USF).

As a life-long resident of Long Beach, California, Prof. Shrotman is the founder and president of Principal Planning Service, Inc. For over 40 years he has stressed a conservative approach to financial planning and asset allocation. Current client assets under management approximate $55 million.

Prof. Shrotman holds the profession designations of Registered Principal of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) now FINRA, Series 7 and 24. Also he is a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), Certified Investment Specialist (CIS) and member of International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP) Practitioners Division. Mr. Shrotman has served as a member of the Long Beach City College Foundation, Finance Committee since its inception. He has earned industry recognition, honors and numerous awards. He is also a member of the Long Beach Police Motor Patrol.

In addition to seminars and lectures he has appeared as a guest on KABC Talk Radio, "Money Talks" and various television and radio programs.
