A democracy is the highest form of governance and takes a populace that is vigilant and educated.Democracy is an ideal form of government because it is of, for and by the people. For it to work the population has to be ideal or at least idealistic. Idealism is only possible when all people are respected and only actions are judged under the rule of law. The rule of law is established with the common good in mind by those choosen by flesh and blood people, not institutions or man made constructs, to compose such laws. Those choosen are to serve not to rule and need to be thankful for to priviledge of serving. Those in service need the guidance of the populace to maintain their correct duty to the people. That is why the people have to be educated and vigilant. We are all at service to one another. |
