  • Occupation: Marin County Sheriff
  • Joined the Marin County Sheriff's Office in 1969 as a Deputy Sheriff
  • Worked his way through the ranks in every bureau and division of the organization as Deputy, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and served as Undersheriff
  • Appointed Sheriff in 1996, re-elected twice by wide margins
  • President of the California State Sheriffs' Association from 2004-2005 and is currently chairman of the Legislative Committee
  • Served two terms as President of the Marin County Police Chiefs' Association
  • Bob was born in San Francisco and raised in Daly City, has an adult daugher, Caitlin
