Education and Qualifications:
     As a medical doctor, I pledged to remember "that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those of sound mind and body as well as the infirm." I live those words through my public service; as a family physician, a city Councilmember, and volunteer physician in our community health clinics, schools, neighborhoods, and non-profits, and as a father and husband.

My roots are deep in Santa Clara County; my parents were small business owners, committed to family, hard work, and education. I became a city Councilmember because I wanted to prepare our community for the future while preserving our area's unique character. I work hard for a balanced budget, fiscally and environmentally sustainable development, and support for our small businesses--the backbone of any community.

As Supervisor, I will bring legislative experience, a passion for open, transparent government, fiscal responsibility, and a proven devotion to protecting the health and safety of all families. As a doctor and elected public servant, I am uniquely qualified to understand the impact of policy decisions on the health of our communities. Vote Peter Arellano for County Supervisor.
