Education and Qualifications:
My wife Karen and I operate the Thomas Kruse Winery which I founded in 1971. We have seen tremendous change in the last 40 years. The lessons I've learned have been invaluable. I believe in thrift and hard work. We live very frugally on what we think are the nicest twenty acres in the County of Santa Clara. We consider ourselves very fortunate.
I served two years on the very first General Plan for Gilroy, four years on the County of Santa Clara Planning Commission - elected chairman my third year and served on numerous other committees such as the County of Santa Clara Agricultural Conservation Easement Committee. I always fight hard for my principles but I work in the spirit of cooperation.
I am commited to doing the best job I can, especially for anyone experiencing difficulties with county government. If you vote for me I will always be accessible. If you don't vote for me I will still be your supervisor and I will help you too. I will accept no special interest money.
