Education and Qualifications:
     I am Aaron Resendez, running for City Council. Together we need to make District 5 the best place to live, work and do business in San Jose.
     Lucy and I have raised our children in East San Jose for the last 16 years. As a business owner and a teamster for 30 years, I know the challenges families face in our community.
     As a community activist, I have served as Co-Chair East Valley 680 NAC, President of the Arbuckle Neighborhood Association, as a neighborhood commissioner, as a member of Project Diversity, and as a soccer coach in the Police Activities League for over 10 years.
     Now is our time. As your City Councilmember it is time for me to reach out to our Police department, not as an adversary, but as your representative. It's time for all of us to demand that we be able to raise our families free from gang violence, free from intimidation, free from neglect, and free from politicians who want our vote and then turn away.
     Now is our time. I ask for your vote so together we can make District 5 the best place in San Jose to live, work and do business.
