Experience as a longtime parent in San Diego schools has made Katherine Nakamura sensitive to the needs of families across the district. A broad background in education, business and law has made her a fierce and effective advocate on the Board of Education, whether demanding better resources in our schools by reducing and cutting through the local bureaucracy, or by arguing for San Diego's fair share in Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
