Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; San Francisco County; Assembly District 12

Mary Jung has been a loyal Democrat since she first reached voting age. She has over 30 years of practical experience working on behalf of the Democratic Party, for Democratic candidates, and for the issues we care about.

Starting as a precinct worker for U.S. Senator George McGovern's presidential campaign, she eventually worked her way up to becoming the Executive Director of the Clinton/Gore Victory'96 campaign in San Francisco. Whether working as a volunteer or paid campaign staffer, Mary works for the candidates and issues tirelessly.

Because of her leadership, the California Democratic Party recognized her with the Democrat of the Year Award. Mary proactively will lead the charge when the Democratic Party and our office holders are under attack.

She has served on the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee since 2000 and is seeking re-election.

Mary also is a member of the San Francisco Civil Service Commission and serves on the Board of Pacific Asian American Women Bay Area Coalition. She is active in the community and lends here fundraising expertise to many nonprofits and schools in her spare time.
