San Luis Obispo County, CA | June 8, 2010 Election |
Concealed Carry PermitsBy Mark J. AdamsCandidate for Sheriff-Coroner; County of San Luis Obispo | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Less than 1/4% of the county population has a CCW. Most of them are issued to Correctional Staff.I believe the citizens of SLO County have the right, based on the U.S. Constitution to protect themselves. The average response time for a deputy is approximately 22 minutes. With budget cuts looming and the possibility of fewer deputies on the street, it is crucial to have a Sheriff that understands this and is willing to go against the politicians and political correctness to protect the people. I will issue CCW's to those citizens that pass a backround and have completed a safety course. |
