Pat Harris has lived in SLO County for thirty years. A long-time community activist, Pat has served as Chair of the County Commission on the Status of Women, Chair of the Central Coast Women's Political Committee and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Community Counseling Center. She has worked for many years with the grass roots Latino group, Living in America, presenting educational programs on civic participation.

Pat started her own event planning business, Exceptional Events, in 2003. She is currently serving as Executive Director of the California International Choral Festival & Competition. She has been coordinating all aspects of the event since January 2006 and has directed successful, sold out performances in 2007 and 2009. Pat came on board as Executive Director of the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble in 2009 and is now working with the Board of Directors of both organizations.
