The first role of government is protect its citizens, and as the chief law enforcement officer of California, the Attorney General needs to deliver in that role. My top three priorities as Attorney General will be to reduce crime, combat gang violence and to protect consumers. I will work with local law enforcement, probation officers and prosecutors to ensure the latest and most innovative solutions, like cell phone jammers that cut off communications between imprisoned gang members and those on the outside, are used to combat crime. I will help protect California consumers by securing credit card transactions and aggressively investigating and prosecuting identity thieves and predatory lenders.
