By staying focused, we have continued to deliver quality services with less, all the while expanding programming opportunities for our population and maintaining our very high quality of life.
The uncertain economic landscape of the last few years has created unique challenges for our City. These challenges were a call to action, to better use our limited resources, while we continued to work toward our goals. By staying focused, we have continued to deliver quality services with less, all the while expanding programming opportunities for our population and maintaining our very high quality of life."
We have survived this economic storm thus far and have been able to move forward by being resilient, adaptive and flexible. The old adage of writing your goals in cement and your plans in the sand is applicable. Despite a drop in City revenues, our goals have not wavered, and we will continue to find ways to maintain the high quality of life that our residents and businesses expect.
The following are some of the accomplishments that the City of Pleasanton has achieved during my time as mayor. I am proud of this work and am eager to continue to make progress towards keeping Pleasanton's schools excellent, our streets clean, our crime rate low and our budget balanced.
