Candidate for
Mayor; City of Pleasanton

During my 16 years of elected service to Pleasanton, I have proven that I am an effective, experienced leader with integrity. My goal remains the same, keep Pleasanton as a healthy, safe, and attractive place to live, work, and raise a family.

This election is crucial to Pleasanton's future. Strong, proven leadership and commitment are needed to preserve the quality of life we all treasure in our community. Although Capital improvement projects are currently on hold until the economy stabilizes, the following list includes my vision for the future of Pleasanton.

1. Encourage and appreciate public participation to ensure sound decision-making.
2. Establish Growth Management Policies to protect our Quality of Life.
3. Maintain an environmentally and fiscally sustainable community.
4. Protect our scenic hillsides and ridge lands.
5. Preserve open space and the scenic views that add to the beauty of our community.
6. Develop trails and quality bike paths connecting cities.
7. Build a Youth Center and all weather fields on the Bernal Property.
8. Practice Fiscal Conservancy: Quarterly monitor the City's financial status to ensure economic sustainability and determine any corrections needed.
9. Work to strengthen our local economy.
10. Continue the strong relationship with the school district.
11. Provide quality affordable housing for seniors.
12. Conserve water and encourage use of renewable energy.
13. Work regionally to reduce traffic and freeway congestion seeking federal and state funding for improvements to Highway 84.
14. Provide faster, frequent, reliable Wheels bus RAPID Transit from the Livermore Transit Center to the BART station.
15. Build entry-level smaller housing units for our children and workforce. I ask for your vote and I sincerely appreciate your continued support in the service of our great community.
