Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Pablo

It has been a privilege and honor to serve you these past four years as your Councilmember and Mayor. I have worked hard to improve the quality of life for our children, seniors and families.

• Advocated for the implementation of School Resource Officers in all of our schools and for more officers in our community policing program, making our schools and streets safe for our children.

• Supported our parks and open space for families to have a safe place to spend time with their children and enjoy physical activities, which is essential for a healthy community.

• Supported services that help families and put our local residents to work; i.e. the first time homebuyer program, dump voucher program, paint rebate program for homes, graffiti abatement and an ordinance which requires hiring our residents first on any capital projects being built in the city.

• Continue our partnership with our schools to enhance safety and academic excellence for our children. The development of a Youth Services Program and complete building the proposed Youth/Community Center at Helms School.

• To strengthen the partnership with our residents by developing a civic engagement program with our residents, civic groups, community and faith-based organizations.

• Promote business opportunities to strengthen our economic base and continue providing quality services in our city.
