Keith Dyas Protects East Kern WaterBy Keith DyasCandidate for Director; Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency; Division 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I have protected East Kern groundwater from being taken by Los Angeles County for 20 years. If re-elected, I vow to continue to protect our precious water supplies. As a long term East Kern resident, I appreciate our need for high quality, low priced water. You elected me to safeguard our water, and together we've been successful. If re-elected, I will continue to lead that effort with vigilance. As your representative and current AVEK Board Vice President, I've been effective in influencing AVEK decisions and protecting your interests. During the time I've served you, AVEK has delivered excellent water, reduced property tax rates and minimized water rate increases. I also protect your water as a member of the Kern County Water Resources Committee and the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board. My Vision For AVEK Is Simple: Preserve our groundwater by importing Northern California water. My Priorities Are: Public Health, Groundwater Preservation and Low Water Rates. I Strongly Oppose: Chloramines and L.A. County's attempts to steal Kern County groundwater. I have a Master of Science Degree in Engineering from Fresno State University and 10 years experience in water resources engineering at Edwards Air Force Base. My family has made Southeast Kern our permanent home. We'll always live with the consequences of my actions, so I strive to make high quality, long-range decisions. Thank you for your voting consideration on November 2. For questions, please call me at 661-256-4512 or visit my website at http://www.KeithDyas.com. |
