Political Philosophy for Benj Thomas
 Candidate for  |

 | ||
|
 | ||||
|
 At the national level, my politics are clearly liberal and peace-oriented. I was "clean for Gene" in 1968, and I protested the VietNam and Gulf Wars. At the local level, the liberal/conservative spectrum does not apply. On the City Council, we make most of our decisions without regard to political philosophy, and I tend to think that the super-imposition of those values can obscure the issue at hand. In a time of severe crisis, we have to consider the best course available. We don't have the time or funds available to do much else. This is a good thing. |
