In the last four years, the Goleta Union School District has:
 
- Improved test scores (up 62 points while I've been in office).
 - Added more fresh and locally grown food to our school breakfasts and lunches (while turning a profit!)
 - Retained jobs in spite of the economic climate and challenges with the State budget
 - Approved and implemented many of our strategic plan components
 - Funded additional technology, science, PE and art thereby reducing the fundraising burden for parent-teacher associations
 - Created a preschool readiness summer school program
 - Increased funding for GATE
 - Added additional classes for our autistic students
 - Built the Brandon Multipurpose Room
 - Implemented our field restoration project at several school sites
 - Maintained an average of 20:1 in Kindergarten - Third Grade
 - Hollister and El Camino were recognized as California Distinguished Schools
 - Maintained a pesticide-free learning environment
 - Provided professional development aimed at instructional improvement
 - Strengthened partnerships with UCSB, Rancho La Patera and Stow House, and the Goleta Boys and Girls Club
