I have lived worked and volunteered in our community for over 38 years. Spending time in and outside of the classroom for over 19 years, in a variety of roles, has given me insight into public opinion and the working of the district. From my positions working at different levels in a variety of leadership position, and as Vice President and President of the Governing Board, I believe I have gained the expertise necessary to move our district forward in a positive quality manner.
My husband, George, and I have a son and a daughter who attended Nordstrom, Martin Murphy and graduated from Live Oak, just like their Dad and Grandfather did. George is President of the Live Oak Foundation, a local non-profit that has given out over $600,000 to teachers in our district to support excellence in education. Public service and involvment is second nature to our family. As a trustee I remain deeply committed to the community and the success of the MHUSD.
