Let's Work Together For Santa Cruz

We must continue to work together, and have strong leadership to guide us through these tough times. We need to ensure our community and children are safe, that people have the opportunity to prosper and that we protect the environment and all that makes Santa Cruz so unique and beloved.

Over the past four years I have worked non-stop for our community and I want to continue the work you have asked me to do. I've helped find grant money to hire 5 additional police officers; broker the historic agreement between UCSC and the city; and supported retaining and attracting businesses. Most importantly, I have worked closely with community members and neighborhoods to address issues impacting Santa Cruz. I have listened to what people have to say and I have helped find collaborative solutions to some of our toughest challenges.

But there is much work that remains and that is why I'm proud to have the support of so many community leaders who know firsthand the importance of effective leadership and vision.

I am not just a politician. I am a neighbor, a mother, a wife, a nationally recognized organic gardener, and small business owner who deeply loves all the amazing things that make Santa Cruz a special place to call home. Along with my husband John, we have raised our two children who attended local public schools and now attend UC Berkeley and Harvard.

My life and passion are Santa Cruz.
