Graduate of Mission Bay High School and San Diego State University. Served in the United States Marines, where he earned numerous honors, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. Elected to the County Board of Supervisors in 1995, where his leadership has helped turn around a government on the verge of bankruptcy. Serves on over 25 local boards/committees for housing, land use, water quality, public safety, economic development, education, transportation issues. Bill and his wife, Kathy are residents of Valley Center. They have three grown children and six grandchildren. Priorities: Making our neighborhoods safe. Reducing traffic congestion and preserving open space. Creating jobs, improving the economy, protecting taxpayers.
