Initiative to amend the timing of the city's general election In order to consolidate with local school district and statewide general elections, and to help reduce the City's elections costs, shall all current City Council terms be extended by one year and shall section 1.24.010 of the Half Moon Bay Municipal Code be amended to provide that the City's general municipal election be held in each even-numbered year commencing with the year 2012?

ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.24.010 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF HALF MOON BAY
The People of the City of Half Moon Bay ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 1.14.010 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2. Severability. In the event any section or portion of this ordinance shall be determined invalid or unconstitutional, such section or portion shall be deemed severable and all other sections or portions hereof shall remain in full force and effect. |
