Dear Neighbor:

Thank you for trusting me to serve as your Member of Franklin Park Borough Council for the past 5 years. Now, I am asking for your continued trust, by voting for me in the upcoming election. I will continue to control wasteful spending, maintain low taxes to provide the excellent quality of life we have come to expect.

During my term in office I have dedicated myself to:
-keeping taxes low. I work hard to ensure prudent use of your tax dollars. As a result our tax rate has remained constant and we enjoy a solid financial base. All paid invoices are now posted on the Borough website so you can see how your taxes are being spent.

-maintaining our infrastructure. Our security, parks and roadways are the foundation of Borough government. We have added more full time Police Officers to accommodate our growth; the parks and golf course are well funded and maintained; and road maintenance is on a proper schedule and snow removal is exemplary. Also, most of the flooding issues have been successfully resolved and we have saved over $100,000 on the Northmont Dam project.

-minimizing government intrusion. With your support, we were able to turn back the Automated Trash Service which would have been expensive, inconvenient and cumbersome.

But, there is still much to accomplish. During my next term I plan to:
-finish updating our zoning ordinance for better land management and development.

-re-evaluate the administration of our Pension Plans. Given the poor performance the past several years, we need to get better investment advice than we are currently receiving.

-re-evaluate our Solicitor. His firm, Law Offices of Ira Weiss, seems to have a conflict of interest with other boroughs that he represents. The court ordered property reassessments that his firm championed will result in higher taxes for Franklin Park residents.

I look forward to meeting all of you when I make my door-to-door visits during the upcoming weeks. I hope I have lived up to your expectations the past few years, and I plan to meet or exceed your expectations in the future. I am counting on your support and your vote so that I can continue to serve you for 4 more years.
