- My wife and I are 37 year residents of Colerain Township.
- My home and my office are each less than 2 miles from the Colerain Administrative Complex which was built when I was a trustee.
- I have an accounting degree from University of Cincinnati and an MBA in accounting from Xavier University.
- I am a CPA that is GASB (Government Accounting Standards Board) qualified to perform local Government Audits.
- I am a member of the AICPA, the Ohio Society of CPA's and the Kentucky Society of CPA's.
- I have 39 years of accounting & auditing experience.
- For 36 years I have been the President of Hart & Gersbach CPA's - regional CPA firm.
- I have 35 consecutive years of experience in auditing local governments.
- I have been analyzing and designing accounting systems for 30 years.
- For 20 years I have been the software architect for System 20/20, an accounting system software for managing a CPA firm.
- When I was 16 years old, I started working in a bank and with exception of time serving as a U S Army Officer I have spent my entire adult life in accounting.
- Furthermore, I really like the professional satisfaction from the work I do every day.
- For the past three years I have been a member of the State of Ohio, District 2 Integration Board for recommending allocations of grants to various communities in the district.
- For three years I was President of the Colerain Township Business Association (CTBA). I have also served on the Board of Directors for 15 Years.
- I was one of the founders of the CTBA + Scholarship Endowment Fund which has raised over $115,000 in the endowment accounts and presented approximately 75 scholarships to Colerain Township Students.
- This year I have served on the Colerain Township Financial Advisory Committee.
- I have served on the Colerain Corridor Task Force since 1989.
- As a member of the Colerain Corridor Task Force I was instrumental in completing the last two sections of Ronald Reagan Highway as one project which saved the state of Ohio $4,000,000.
- I was the founding Chairman of the 4th of July Spectacular which added live entertainment and music to the fireworks.
- In 1989-1990 I served on the Government Needs Assessment Committee as Chairman of the Administration area which set the tone for the structure of future operations for the Township.
- For the Northwest School District, I served as academic advisor to the Accounting program at Northwest High School. Hart & Gersbach, Inc. was a partner in education with White Oak Middle School. I was on the audit committee of the Northwest Local School District. I have served as a speaker for Career Day at La Salle High School, Northwest High School, White Oak and Colerain Middle Schools.
- I have been a lector at St. James Church for 16 years.
- I was an officer in the U.S. Army serving a tour of duty in Viet Nam, earning a bronze star.
