Candidate for
Director; Upper Dublin School District

There has been no prior time in which public education in Pennsylvania has been more at risk.

Quite frankly, I find partisan politics don't help resolve the problem because the goal of protecting our top notch School District and our children and community is lost in rhetoric and posturing.

As an incumbent director, I can tell you that there is a global sensitivity witnin all stakeholders to "do the right thing" but none can or should be held higher than the child being educated. Upper Dublin has been uniquely steadfast in it's sophisticated understanding of this concept and that is why the District and the community at large excels even in a time of crisis.

I pledge to work hard for all people of Upper Dublin but I will always keep the children first. It must be that way. In this world and here in Upper Dublin, too many American children are falling behind in certain acheivement arenas and that is anathema to me and my fellow Board colleagues.

I will always ask the question - are we doing things in the most financially sound and acceptable way but I will also strive to take steps that are the least detrimental to the kids. Thank you.
