Had Enough?

By Michael P. Rives

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Lancaster

This information is provided by the candidate
There are divisions in our city along political, racial and economic lines, there is a dysfunctional city council, so it is time for a change.
If elected to the city council, I am going to be available 24/7 to the voters. Using a cell phone, the internet, or in person, I will be available to all voters. You will have a constant voice on the Lancaster City Council.

Currently, the city council meetings begin at 5PM. I want them to return to 7PM as they were. I want to review all items on the agenda. If necessary, we will have meetings every week instead on twice a month. We will also allow the citizens more time to speak and televise, once more, the non-agenda part of the council meeting.

I want to review all expenditures in the city and find out exactly what kind of fiscal shape we are in. I favor a bare bones type of budget until we get out of the present economic condition in this country.

I invite all voters to join me in making a change on the Lancaster City Council1
