Bipartisan Philosophies

By Denelle Fedor

Candidate for Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 10

This information is provided by the candidate
I support bipartisan philosophies and am not affiliated with a specific political party.
I have always enjoyed working with people--all people--from different economic, ethnic and political backgrounds.

I attribute my ability to work with a diverse group of people to my results driven commitment in finding a broadly acceptable resolution to problems. People who have worked with me have shared their appreciation of my non-partisan and objective perspective.

My approach to problem solving has always been to first identify the problem or challenge in need of a solution. Once the challenge is defined and understood, I explore all possible scenarios that would produce the best outcome for a long lasting and sustainable solution. These solutions must benefit the residences and businesses of our City, without regard to special interests or specific partisan politics. Most lasting and sustainable solutions come from a careful and considerate merging of perspectives and philosophies from all sides.

The current City Council does not have a non-partisan Councilmember. As a person who has not aligned themselves with a particular political party, I am confident that my ability to work across party lines will be beneficial to solving our political divide in important areas such as pension reform and closing our budget deficit.
