London is a local success story; a Chula Vista boy scout who went away to study at an Ivy League law school in New York and then returned to raise his own family and help improve his hometown.

London was born at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He was adopted shortly after his birth by Dale and Charlotte Meservy. Dale Meservy was a butcher at VONS and Charlotte worked as a teacher's aide in Chula Vista elementary schools. London is the oldest of two adopted sons.

The Meservys moved to Chula Vista when London was only 18 months old. London attended preschool at United Methodist Church, then Kindergarten through 6th grade at Rice Elementary School. London skipped the second grade and later was a Captain in the school safety patrol.

London then attended Chula Vista Junior High School from 7th through 9th grades where he was enrolled in honors classes. As a 9th grader, he received the Scripps Memorial Community Service Award.

London later attended Chula Vista High School from 10th through 12th grades where he was enrolled in honors and AP classes, was a two-year letterman in football, and was elected Senior Class Treasurer.

As a young boy, London was involved in Cub Scouts where he earned the Arrow of Light Award and later went on to the Boy Scouts where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts' highest honor.

After graduating from high school, London attended Southwestern College and later transferred to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, cum laude, in 1998. London worked his way through college while waiting tables full-time at the Chula Vista Olive Garden restaurant.

London's lifelong ambition was to become a lawyer. Upon graduating from UCSD, he was accepted at one of the nation's most prestigious universities, Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York. During the summer of his second year, he studied law at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, in an exchange program between Cornell and the Sorbonne. London earned his law degree from Cornell in 2001.

While studying law, London met and fell in love with a fellow law student, Heather. A native of New Jersey, Heather attended Cornell University for her undergraduate degree and law degree. London and Heather were married in August, 2000. Heather is now an experienced litigation attorney with Cooley LLP, a leading national law firm.

London passed the California Bar Exam on his first try and was sworn in as an attorney in December, 2001. Since graduating from law school, London has worked at world-class international law firms, including Brobeck, Phleger, & Harrison LLP and Paul Hastings, and has served as Corporate Counsel to a publicly-traded corporation and numerous small and medium-sized companies.

In 2008, London founded his own firm, Meservy Law, P.C. where he currently represents a range of clients from publicly traded companies to individuals and start-up businesses.

In 2010, London was appointed by the Chula Vista City Council to serve on the City's Board of Appeals and Review, the board responsible for hearing citizens' appeals relating to city building codes, reviews and approves the use of alternate construction methods and materials, and provides recommendations regarding the adoption of building code requirements and building permit fees. London continues his service on the Board.

Heather and London have made their home in Chula Vista since 2008. They have two daughters: Alex Elizabeth, a kindergartener at Salt Creek Elementary School in Eastlake, and Ryan Samantha, 3 years old. They also have a family dog named Betsy.
