Candidate for
United States Representative; District 51

I am running for Congress to represent the citizens of the 51st District and make America work again. I have been a civic leader in the San Diego and Imperial Counties for 20 years. I have served as an activist, a San Diego City Councilmember, a State Assemblymember, and, currently, as the State Senator for the 40th Senate District, which covers almost all of the 51st Congressional District. I am committed to ensuring quality public safety, preserving equality, and protecting vital services for children, the poor, and the elderly, such as Medicare and Social Security. Once elected to Congress, I will fight for good paying jobs for adults, better educational opportunities for children, and the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens.
