Political Philosophy for Aracely "Shelly" Garza
Candidate for |

|
I am running for city council in district 5 because I believe that I can make a difference as a responsive leader. As a former City Employee with the At-Large Council Office, I have seen firsthand what it takes to keep our residents informed and how working together we can create sustainable solutions to problems. As an Executive Assistant under two city managers, I learned firsthand how to collaborate with the Mayor; Directors & City Council to keep our infrastructure strong even with painful budget cuts. For the last 4 years I have worked tirelessly to proved entrepreneurs with the opportunity of opening their small business. Providing resources, workshops & guidance as well as giving them the tools to become successful which in turn brings revenue into the city. As a community advocate, city employee and small business owner I have been in the district bringing solutions already. I will continue my commitment as a councilmember to make District 5 a place where our residents can live, work and play. |
