Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Biggs Unified School District

Let me introduce myself. I have lived in Richvale for the past 8 years. I am married and I have 4 of my own children and 2 additional foster children. I grew up in a small Northern California town called Westwood. Spent most of my summers out at Lake Almanor with my family and friends. My husband and I have been together for 22 years and have been married for 17 years. My husband and I have been doing foster care for 9 years. I have a child in every school in this district! Education is an important value in our family; it is something I can instill in my children and it gives them hope for their future. As a parent I would like to advocate for our children's future. Doing foster care I have found that a lot of children we have fostered thrived on our strict boundaries, and how we constantly teach them how "What they do now, affects them for the rest of their life". Many have left our home and have become sucessful young men/women. I am looking forward to working with the District, and fellow member in the near future.
