Candidate for
Board Member; Mount Diablo Unified School District

My name is Barbara Oaks and I am running for the Mount Diablo Unified School District School Board. Within the Mount Diablo Unified School District, I was a teacher of students with special needs for 13 years, a high school vice principal for five years and retired after six years as a high school principal. I have also taught adults with disabilities and business skills through Mount Diablo Adult Education. I have raised my children through MDUSD and am now a grandparent of a MDUSD student. I have always been proud to have been part of MDUSD, both as an employee and parent, and have believed in the professionalism of the teachers and staff of this district.
