I am a Conservative Christian Businesswoman with 4 children, which is why the safety and security of our children is so important to me. I worked for 15 years in the restaurant industry for several companies working my way up the ladder to management. Through this industry I learned how to control a budget and not let it control me. One restaurant that I took over was doing a modest 1.4 million dollar a year business prior to my arrival and after adding 4 seats to the floor-plan I turned it into a 2.4 million dollar business. After having a sever accident at work I was in a wheelchair and unable to walk. I met my husband while he was working at the physical therapy clinic. After they told me I would not walk again, I remember him telling me "they don't know you, you are only stats on a page to them. Don't let them decide how you are going to live your life!" It took me 5 years to learn to walk again, but eventually I did. It also took my husband 5 years to ask me out on a date, but once he did we were married and blessed with our children. We moved to San Jacinto to give our kids the chance of a life time. I grew up in small towns. I know how amazing it can be. We grew up with good morals and values. The thing about small town America is that when bad things happen it brings the best out in the town. We know that these economic times are bad. People are out of jobs and loosing their homes. We can turn this around. We are Americans and we will not fail. It is time for us to take action! |
