Manny Cappello Biography
 
-	Married 24 years to my lovely wife Amy. 
-	We have two beautiful children who are currently in college, Sarah Rose 21 and David 19. 
-	Moved to Saratoga 20 years ago in 1992. 
-	Family has live in Saratoga since 1960. 
-	I am the youngest of three children born of immigrant parents who came to the US in 1956 and started a small specialty desserts business in San Mateo in 1968. 
-	Attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where I obtained a BS in Business Administration and then received an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. 
-	My first job was with Lockheed Martin where I worked in Business Development for 6 years.  During this time I completed a fellowship in Washington DC working in the office of Senator Alfonse D'Amato. 
-	My second job was with Applied Materials for 14 years where I was a Product Development Manager for 8 years and Director of Field Operations for 6 years. 
-	For the past 5 years I have been a small business owner and operator where I have opened three restaurants (located in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Cupertino) employing 25 people. 
-	For the past 15 years I have been active in Saratoga volunteering on various community activities, non-profit organizations, and City Commissions

 - Member - Saratoga Rotary + 2005 to present
 - Volunteer Small Business Counselor & Mentor with Silicon Valley SCORE
 - Appointed to the Saratoga Planning Commission in 2005 and reappointed for a second term in 2009.  Chair for 1 year starting in 2008
 - Appointed to the Saratoga City Council in 2010 following the passing of our beloved City Councilwoman, Susie Nagpal
