This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Retired Civil Engineer
Age: 59
Education and Qualifications:
I'm running for the Water District Board because I'm passionate about water supply, flood protection, and environmental stewardship. I'm committed to working constructively with other Board members to transform the Water District into a focused and high-performing organization.

I have 30 years of experience working for the Water District on California water issues, including large construction projects. I have an insider's knowledge of District programs, projects, finance, and budget, and an independent perspective on needed change. I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Hydraulic Engineering. But education and experience alone aren't enough. Leadership ability and interpersonal skills are necessary to be an effective Board Member, and that's what sets me apart from my opponents.

As a woman, I will provide needed balance to Board dynamics. I will seek input from constituents, offer fresh and independent leadership, and govern in an ethical and fiscally responsible manner. Learn more at nai2012.com.

Community leaders including former County Supervisors, Dianne McKenna and Susie Wilson, and Former Water District Board members, Sig Sanchez and Larry Wilson, support my candidacy. I would appreciate your vote.
