Los Gatos is special. Our beautiful natural setting, small-town charm, vibrant downtown, great schools, and extraordinary quality of life are truly unique. That is why I came here in 1985 and raised two children who graduated from Van Meter, Fisher, and LGHS.

I was first appointed to the Planning Commission in 1989. I served for 10 years, two as Chair. I am proud of my role in restoring our Town after the earthquake and in drafting our Downtown Design and Hillside Guidelines.

In 2003, I worked to recommend improvements to the Fisher curriculum before returning to the Planning Commission in 2008. As Chair, I can see that Los Gatos has reached a critical tipping point. The choices we make today will determine whether we can preserve and protect the character of our Town tomorrow.

On the Council, I will work to restore transparency and balance to decision-making, to assure that policies which were thoughtfully developed to preserve the Town's character are followed, and to give careful consideration to the combined effects Council decisions will have on our streets, schools, and environment.

Los Gatos is our home. Let's work together to preserve what we all love about it.
