Political Philosophy for Vickie Driver
Candidate for |
City Council incumbents want to hand-pick candidates who have the same narrow perspective they do. Vickie believes in balanced representation that acts in the best interests of the whole city, not just one neighborhood.
Vickie wants more attention paid to: We need more focus on police, fire and marine safety in order to keep our beaches and residents safe. - Traffic calming and safety Walkers should be able to cross the on ramps without aggressive drivers practically running them over in the cross walk and the situation is going to get even worse with the widening of I-5. - Pedestrian and bicycle safety Kids should have a safe route to school and around town by foot and by bike. Cars should be encouraged to share the road with bikers. - Beach safety Not only should we be adding sand to the beach to help protect the bluffs, but we should also make the bluffs safe so the public can enjoy the beach. We need to address the lack of parking for our businesses and beaches. |
