Since I have no connections to San Marcos City Council members and greedy developers, I need your vote to be able to continue to serve you and keep your water rates as low as possible. Please vote for Timothy Shell for the Vallecitos Water District.

I am also writing to ask for your vote. I have a strong record over the past eight years as a Board Member of making sure that the Vallecitos Water District is accountable and accessible to its customers. I have voted with the Board to limit costs, including employee medical and retirement benefits, to make sure that our water rates are kept as low as possible. When the Board recently increased fees, it was to make sure that dense development being planned for downtown San Marcos paid its fair share, so you and I as ratepayers do not have to subsidize future growth.

I and the other current Board Members take our responsibility to serve the ratepayers seriously, and serve you with your best interests in mind. Compared to the current and past San Marcos City Council Members, our personal gain from our service to you, the ratepayers, is limited. I do not receive pension benefits from the District, and that is OK with me. Since I have no connections to San Marcos City Council members and greedy developers, I need your vote to be able to continue to serve you and keep your water rates as low as possible.
