Shelly Masur is the only candidate with the experience and track record of balancing complex budgets year after year while still delivering needed services.In these difficult economic times where our county faces tremendous financial challenges, Shelly Masur will strive to balance the county budget + while protecting vital services, like law enforcement, public health, parks and programs for our seniors, children and families from harmful cuts. And Shelly knows how to balance budgets: while on the Redwood City School Board, she balanced budgets + making necessary cuts while overseeing increased academic performance. As Supervisor, Shelly will work to balance the county budget by: Reviewing all county managers and consultants making over $100,000 annually to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely Working with cities and schools to eliminate duplicate services, and promote collaboration among government, business, non-profits and community groups to maximize the effectiveness of taxpayer dollars Ensuring fiscal responsibility by increasing government efficiency and making necessary cuts to balance the budget while protecting vital services |
